If someone is a mathematician, astronomer and astrologer are they also considered a scientist?
It’s for homework
Suggestion by Marcus
Astronomer, yes. Mathematician, maybe (I don’t think so). Astrologer, definitely not.

Mathematicians sort of are scientists. Why not? All science depends upon mathematics to be as useful as it is.
Ask any mathematician, and they will certainly say that they feel like a scientist.
Ask any college of a mathematician, and they will say the same.
The only big distinction is that mathematics isn’t immediately concerned with experimental verification with reality. But…the mathematicians don’t worry about that…that will come later.
Astronomers almost NEVER are astrologers. Not since Johannes Kepler anyway. He was the last scientific astrologer, and the first astrophysicist. The connection used to be a lot greater between astrology and astronomy…but since astrology took the bullshitt road, and astronomy took the science road….the distinction grew ever rapidly.
Suggestion by John Spartan
As long as they follow the scientific method in what they do then they are scientists.
About astrologers: They are fortune tellers. They make vague predictions. And they back it up with nothing.
If an astrologer was a scientist, he/she would make a public prediction, set it down in writing, in clear certain terms, and in front of witnesses and then wait for this prediction of the future to come true. It has never, ever been done in Human history. If it were, religions would be rendered asunder, this person would be revered as a god, they would have won the lottery every single time, they wouldn’t be allowed near a casino, and they would be the most famous person who ever lived.
Astrology is simply imagination. And it’s a good part of what makes us humans. At one point in time.
But someone famously said: “When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.”
