Recommend quality Logic/Reasoning-Building books / sites ?
Can you recommend and quality online or books that provide decent logic building games / exercises. I’m looking to strengthen my mind after several months of lethargy.

Logic or reasoning with IQ?
Look in the real world.
Decode this lyrics “How we don’t talk anymore”
Why does one live in misery functioning like a desk-top with logic?
With GIGO – garbage in and garbage out?
And WYSWYG – what you see is what you get?
Notice any cave-men living in misery like a desk-top from the twilight zone?
With the ATM keep on whirring ” Out of service”
That readout ” It does not compute”
Try pinning the ATM.
Will the ATM whack the card user?
So where does reasoning come from?
Did it come from the dead Mummy?
Who was dead and buried was long gone with time?
With all the cheap-skate glory and success in idol worshiping the dead Mummy as glory and success of past glorious civilization?
Look in the real world.
Infront of the TV.
With the “Reincarnation ” of the dead Mummy in clubbing one another in time.
With living examples at the Thaland and Cambodia border recently on the air.
Without being aware of getting kick on the butts as casualty of the dead Mummy in kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.
With code of honour “Over my dead body”
Instead of Code of Honour of the Ten Commandments.
In kicking the butts of God in not worshiping God.
What do you think?

Have you ever tried to solve a Sudoku puzzle? Sudoku puzzles will give your brain a workout and will help you expand your reasoning/logic/deduction skills and they will really help you in the long run.
There are many, many different kinds of Sudoku books that you can find all throughout different stores. The best place to look for a good Sudoku book would be at your local bookstore, like Borders or Barnes & Noble. The last time that I went there, they had well over 200 different kinds of Sudoku books 🙂
If you would rather not spend the money buying a Sudoku book, try this site:
It is a free online Sudoku generator that can generate books of Sudoku of any difficulty level. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader and you must be willing to download the generated puzzles in a .pdf format. If you are afraid about viruses from this site, you needn’t be. I have been using this site for 4 years now, and I have never once gotten a virus from this website.
Hope this helps 🙂

YA fantasy readers – do you hate this cover design any less than the last one?
I’m trying to design a new cover for the book I have on Authonomy. The comments I got on my first attempt last week persuaded me to change direction. So here’s the second attempt: http://www.pembers.net/wd/test-composite-3.jpg You’ll notice that I’m thinking of changing the title too…
My questions are the same as last time:
– Does it look like the cover of a young adult fantasy novel?
– (If you read books like that) Would it persuade you to start reading the book, or find out more about it?
Really, it just has to look better than the current one, which looks like this:
Something to bear in mind is that Authonomy scales cover images to the size of a postage stamp, so if I use the new one, it’s going to look like this:
And just because you’re such deserving people, here’s a behind-the-scenes photo:
http://www.pembers.net/wd/P1120253.JPG The gunk on my fingertips is out of the grill pan in the kitchen. I knew there was a reason I don’t wash the dishes every day…
Yeah, the font for the title is Papyrus, which I guess everyone and their dog has, since it is or was bundled with numerous Microsoft products. I didn’t have a clear idea of what I wanted, and it was the first one I found in about ten minutes of searching that looked vaguely right. I may have to relearn some calligraphy.

The marking on the hand doesn’t look very real, though. And the bordering old paper type colour isn’t very appealing. But I think it’s a lot better than the other design (the sim like one), by far.

I actually like the second attempt a lot better than the first one.
For one thing, it doesn’t have that cheesy ” My Sims- looking,” vector effects, and it looks more like a cover of a book I can find at my public library, in the young adult– or in fact teenager section.
I’d actually like to read it, if I picked this up out of a shelf. The symbol on the hands is interesting, and everything.
Although, I would change the font of the title. I just don’t like it, since I see it used all of the time. Like on flyer’s for a party. But that’s just me being picky.
Ha ha I like the behind the scene photo XD Nice hands.

Excellent suggestion from carlzxr above. I am a teacher of English as a foreign language in Austria and I did an action research project using Starfall with my second grade class. The results were phenomenal and it made it easy for the parents too because many of them are self-conscious about their own English, thus they don’t read to their children in English. With this programme, the children were able to work on it at home and it is very child friendly and easy to navigate. There are different levels, from the very beginning sounds of the alphabet, all the way to quite confident readers. It does use American pronunciation and spelling though, so this can be a consideration for some parents.
Good luck, but I think you will be happy with the programme and it’s FREE. There are even downloadable and printable materials that can be used to supplement the programme.
